anyone eaten at Estia?

Hi Folks,

I%26#39;ll be eating at Estia for the first time. Any recommendations on what to get and what%26#39;s not so hot?

OH...good choice!

It%26#39;s much fun to peruse the fish choices and to choose the right one for you, but be careful in ordering - in that sometimes it is too much to eat. The staff is very knowledgeable and are more than willing to help with a difficult but awesome menu.

Please, please get the octopus appetizer - even if you are wary of octopus. It is memorable and was one of the most wonderful things I have ever tasted!

The restaurant itself is just gorgeous and is very cozy and comfortable. You maY LINGER FOR HOURS!

Myrt -

Thanks for the reply. We went to Estia and had a very good meal, including the octopus. I happen to love grilled octopus when it%26#39;s fresh and prepared well. Theirs might have been the best I%26#39;ve ever had. I was too full from a filling lunch earlier in the day to get an entree and instead had the Mediterranean salad with fried calamari. My only complaint would be that the calamari was not adequately seasoned - maybe not at all. A good dose of salt helped.

Hubby%26#39;s lamb was delicious, though a bit overcooked (came out medium instead of medium rare - delicious anyway).

A word to anyone who goed to Estia - the appetizer portions are very large. Plan on sharing.

Lynn
