Car service/taxi question

Could someone please recommend a car service for transportation from the Airport (PHL) to Malvern (Penn State).

If I opted to take a cab could someone estimate the fare?

Will you be staying in a hotel in Malvern? Most hotels have a complementary shuttle bus from the airport, and free local transportation.

Yes, I%26#39;m staying at the Desmond. Their website mentions a free shuttle w/in 6 miles of the hotel, but no mention of free airport transportation.

Cab fare to Malvern is $80 ~

The Desmond website does mention that a limo service from the airport to the hotel is available, but to me infers that you%26#39;ll have to pay for it. I%26#39;m sure whatever price they offer is cheaper than taking a taxi.

An alternative would be to take the train, there is a station 2 blocks away from the hotel, but will take about 1.5 hours traveling time to get there.

I would call them up and ask what they recommend is the best way to get there. If you%26#39;ll be staying in the suburbs for more than a day or two, it might be worth it to rent a car. Car rentals are fairly reasonable, and might be more cost effective than relying on the hotel.

Actually, the train station is much further than two blocks %26amp; definitely not walkable. You can pick up a bus from the train station there is a stop not too far from Penn State GV. If you are staying at the Desmond, I think that they might have a shuttle that picks up/ drops off at various stops around the GVCC ( Great Valley Corporate Center) from the train station.
