In the air over Gettysburg Battlefield

Are there airplane/ helicopter/ hot air balloon flights over the area ?

In the air over Gettysburg Battlefield

Not that I know of. There%26#39;s a small airport in York that might be able to do tours. I%26#39;ll post a contact when I find it.

The airport that the previous poster mentioned is a very small airport west of York in Thomasville, PA just off of Route 30. You might want to check with Windjammer Balloons, a York-based hot air balloon operator. They often launch from the Gettysburg Airport depending on the weather and wind direction. I don%26#39;t know of any helicopter tours in the area. Hope this helps.

There is a helicopter place just outside of town on Emmitsburg Road and they do offer rentals. The place is called Agrotors, Inc and their number is (717) 334-6777. I don%26#39;t know if they can fly you directly over the battlefields or not, but I%26#39;m sure they could tell you.

Agrotors advertises as a crop dusting and fire suppression service. I don%26#39;t think they do tours.

I%26#39;ve seen helicopters flying over town and near the battlefield and they don%26#39;t look like they%26#39;re dusting crops or putting out fires. In the yellow pages they don%26#39;t mention those services so it%26#39;s at least worth a phone call. Someone around the area is giving tours.

no there are no air tours of teh battlefield.
