Any recommendations as to the closest airport to drive to Harrisburg? We want to use air miles to a major airport and drive th rest as the connecting flights have too long of a layover. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Driving to Harrisburg
Philly (PHI) or Baltimore (BWI) would be the closest major airports. You can do the drive from either in about 2 hours, maybe less. There is a small international airport in Harrisburg too.
Also within 3-4 hours, there is Newark (EWR) and the two D.C. airports (DCA and IAD). There%26#39;s also JFK and LGA in NYC but it can be a real pain getting out of NYC from those airports and it would probably take over 4 hours to get to Harrisburg from either.

Be aware that Philadelphia is actually PHL--not PHI. I think BWI may be just a trifle closer to Harrisburg, although both airports have good connecting roads with the city.
Harrisburg actually has an airport, code is MDT.
