hi, what are the closest hotels tot he waterfront. i know there is a marriott there but it is sold out for when i am going. i am looking to be able to take a short taxi ride to get there from hotel.

You may want to try the Springhill Suites, West Mifflin 1000 Regis Ave. West Mifflin, PA. They have a shuttle that will take you, in lieu of calling a taxi. We stayed there in August, having the shuttle was a bonus...he took us to the Mall, Kennywood and Station Square. It%26#39;s a quick jaunt down to the waterfront. When you have the driver take you tell him what time you want to be picked up and from where, he%26#39;ll be there. We never worried about ';if'; he would show up. It was great.
The rooms are very nice...a word of advice, if a fridge is important to you, make sure you check that it%26#39;s working before you unpack...we had to switch rooms, they were very accomodating, helped me with luggage and couldn%26#39;t have been nicer. Nice breakfast included, indoor pool with towels and computer for guest use in the lobby. There is a wide variety of restaurants closeby, again, the shuttle comes in handy.
There is also a Hampton Inn on Lebanon (sp?) Church road but I don%26#39;t think they have a shuttle.
