Im back from Gettysburg and the Gaslight Inn!

Im back and we had a wonderful time.....

Stayed in the Aster Room, and it was very clean ....Bed was a king and very comfortable, and bathroom was larger then I expected...Only downfall was it was very hot still , and we couldnt use the fireplace...The whole inn was very clean, and nice...The decor was OK, but not really decorated in an old fashioned or colonial style...

Went to Dobbins and Herr Tavern and oved it!!!! Filet Migon melted in my mouth at both places...

Did the private battlefield tour , was totally worth it...Its a must..Went to the American Civil War museum, Rupp House, Shriver House, Round Barn, Boyds Bears, and the National Cemetary...Also, many shops in walking distance, I thought the best shops were around Lincoln Square..There are also many shops on Steinwehr Ave, but many there were Gettysburg souveniors...

Did a private Ghost Tour recommended by our inn...It was wth Miss Betty..See her info On the Lightner House B%26amp;B...It was very good...She took us on the battlefield at night which was really eerie.

and I did have some orbs on 2 of my pictures...I think people were more interested in taking pictures then listening to her storytelling..

No I loved everything..Oh, I was surprised there were no museums with actual items from the war that we could look over...Did I miss something?

The National Park Visitors Center has quite a bit of stuff, but unfortunately most of it%26#39;s in storage. When the new visitor%26#39;s center opens this Spring there will be lots more space for them to display artifacts, etc.

Oh...And actually I didnt even really go in and look around at visitors ctr ..We only went in to meet up with our licensed guide....Thanks!

Actually we didnt...I went inside to use the bathroom....But we never ate there...I was discouraged from going therefrom the innkeeper...So we went to Dobbin House Tavern instead

Thats to bad! We went twice last week. Its was pretty good but Dobbin is better for sure!
