Hello, I am taking my family to Gettysburg this weekend ( Oct.20th )
We will be there all day. Please help me with a list of must see attractions for us. I have 2 teenagers. Are there any interesting tours? Ghost tours at night? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Art in New Jersey
Gettysburg for the day -----need suggestions
Little Round Top and Devil%26#39;s Den are definitely must sees on the battlefield. There is a driving tour you can do on your own, I%26#39;d do that before doing a guided tour.
If you go up the main street heading to the battlefield, you%26#39;ll see ads for the ghost tours- this time of year, it won%26#39;t be hard to find one.
A carriage ride through town is worth the money.
Something to keep in mind when touring the battlefield..
You%26#39;re visiting in October, in nice weather. The battle took place in july, in 100 degree weather. The soldiers were wearing wool. Can%26#39;t even imagine....
